The “Giving Gators” donation drive is one of the ways we raise funds to support the school. And since most of our fundraisers are being cancelled, this year’s donation drive is more important than ever.
What does PTO do with the funds?
Typically, the donation drive funds are used to support programs such as dance, art, choir, band, classroom supplies, teach appreciation, and social events. This year, we are focused on helping the school create a Maker Space for hands-on learning.
What is a Maker Space?
A Makerspace is an area of the classroom or common media space that is reserved for creatice exploration, engineering, tinkering, inventing, and purposefuk play. In a Makerspace, children have opportunities to dicover, assemble, problem solve, construct, test, and explore using divergent, "outside the box" thinking. A Makerspace should inspire new passions for students and cater to their unique multiple intelligences. Click Here to learn more.
How can you help?
Donate Dollars – Any and all amounts are appreciated, and we accept cash, check, credit card and debit card payments. And with each $20 donation, you will be entered into a drawing to win a fabulous gift basket. The more you donate, the more chances you have of winning. Last year’s basket included items such as Gator Gear, a voucher for a free yearbook, and more.
Donate Time - PTO NEEDS YOU!!! Attend PTO meetings, join the PTO Board, or volunteer for PTO sponsored events, activities and fundraisers. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and community members are all welcome to volunteer. Even an hour makes a difference! And there are no TB tests or fingerprint clearances required.
